You will need a current physical and if you will be 10-12 you will need to have a 2.3 cumulative GPA, 9th graders will need to maintain (or exceed) a 2.3 GPA during the year. We still have positions available so please contact us if you are interested. We will hold Fall tryouts in August. This tryout will be for incoming freshman and transfer students. Look for information here and to be posted around the school. We welcome more wonderful, talented young people to join us.
If you made the CLHS team AND you have NOT completed and turned in FHSAA paperwork to the CLHS Athletic Office you will need to do so ASAP or you may risk loosing your spot on the team.
ALL participants will need a current physical dated after 3/1/14.

be turned into the CLHS Athletic office to be verified by the Athletic Secretary.

Frequently asked questions:
Can I still try out for basketball cheerleading if I am in a fall sport?
Yes, but you must still attend the Spring or fall/transfer tryouts. There are no additional tryouts after football season.
If you play another sport, you will still need to commit to the full year and be involved in some cheer
activities in the fall. You will also be expected to serve at a minimum of 85% of the games/events that are required for
your team. This is the same for those who cheer fall but play another sport in the winter.
Do I have to attend all the games and practices?
Yes. If you make the team, you must attend all scheduled practices, games and other mandatory events (such as open houses)
or your spot on the team may be lost.
What are the fees for cheerleading?
Cheerleaders must pay for several items including clothing, bag, poms, bows and camp. Fundraising
opportunities will be available to offset these costs but they are not guaranteed.
